Best albums, September 2009

Of the CDs that came to the station in September, 2009, my favorites were:
  • True Love Don't Weep by James Hill and Anne Davison. What struck me when I listened to this was that I like these songs with simple lyrics better than many songs with more introspective lyrics. The album includes some traditional songs and many original songs which sound traditional. The music is simple, down-to-earth, and light-hearted.
  • Unraveling Heart by Chuck Suchy. Chuck Suchy has a warm voice, and with Peter Ostroushko as one of the instrumentalists, it is not surprising that the music is instrumentally rich.
